Alex joined MUNDI in 2002 and has since been managing the organisation at the strategic and operational level. He is a qualified teacher with many years of classroom experience. He has been involved in development education for over eighteen years now, both in the UK and as a VSO/Save the Children volunteer in Vietnam. He holds an MA in Education and Social Justice from the Institute of Education in London. Alex is an experienced trainer in global education and has extensively supported a wide range of educational practitioners in increasing their understanding of development issues. He has two children aged three and six and is a parent governor at their primary school. Alex likes cycling, outdoor activities, and DJing in his spare time. |

Raul joined MUNDI in 2005 as a coordinator of an international school linking project aimed at promoting global citizenship through foreign language learning. Currently, he oversees some of MUNDI’s educational initiatives for embedding global education in formal and non-formal education settings. Raul chairs a regional network of organisations and practitioners promoting the global youth work agenda in the East Midlands. He is also a member of the Advisory Council of Think Global, and a Trustee of International House. Raul holds an MSc. in Health Promotion and Health Education from the University of Edinburgh, and an MA in Global Citizenship, Human Rights and Identities from the University of Nottingham. He is a psychologist and worked as a mental health specialist with young people in his hometown Lima (Peru). |

Cathy Melia |
Cathy joined MUNDI in June 2010 as a part-time administrator. She looks after the day-to-day finances and deals with requests to borrow our teaching resources. Cathy updates our resource catalogue and contacts database. She also assists with the organisation of events and undertakes general office administrative duties. Cathy comes from a background in IT and technical authoring, and has also been involved in charities helping the homeless and unemployed. She is a keen cyclist and traveller, and produces the magazine for a local cycling organisation. |
